Battery, Range, and Charging
The battery has a gross capacity of 66.0 kWh and a net usable capacity of 55.9 kWh, with a 10.1 kWh buffer (15.3%) for battery protection.
The lithium-ion battery uses NMC (nickel manganese cobalt) chemistry.
According to the WLTP (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure) standard, the vehicle's range is 420 km (261 miles), with an energy consumption rate of 13.3 kWh/100 km (4.7 mi/kWh).

The vehicle supports fast DC charging with a maximum power of 50 kW. A 0–100% charge takes approximately 91 minutes. A typical 10–80% session takes about 52 minutes at an average power of 45 kW.
With five minutes of overhead per stop, the optimal charging window is 8–79%. Effective average power, including overhead, is 41 kW over a session lasting about 58 minutes and 50 seconds.
In a 1000 km challenge at a constant speed of 120 km/h (75 mph) with an assumed consumption rate of 25 kWh/100 km, the trip would take about 13 hours and 5 minutes, needing five charging stops from 9% to 79%, totaling 285 minutes of charging time.
Onboard Charger
The standard onboard charger supports AC charging at up to 6.6 kW. A full 0–100% charge takes about 8 hours and 28 minutes with a suitable home charging setup.
Charge Port
The location of the charge port is on the right rear corner. This placement makes it easy to use charging stations that require backing up to connect.

Drivetrain

Brakes
The XPENG G3i is equipped with cast-iron disc brakes on both the front and rear.
Regenerative Braking
Regenerative braking works in two ways: through one-pedal driving, or through the brake pedal using blended braking while coasting.
However, it is not considered full one-pedal driving since, at low speeds, the vehicle will keep rolling until it comes to a stop by itself.If you lift away the foot completely the regen is at one fixed level. This can't be adjusted.
Exterior
The XPENG G3i, with dimensions of 4495 mm in length, 1820 mm in width, and 1610 mm in height, falls into the B-SUV segment, also known as subcompact SUVs or crossovers.
The XPENG G3i is available in a total of 6 solid paint colors.
The XPENG G3i offers multiple wheel options in different sizes. The available tire and wheel combinations include:
- 215/55 tires on 17" rims
- 215/55 tires on 18" rims
Narrower wheels reduce energy consumption and can increase range, while wider wheels can improve traction and handling.
The car has four regular doors and a liftgate.
There is only one roof option for this model.
A conventional roof is standard.

Seats
The XPENG G3i accommodates five passengers with two front seats and a three-seat bench in the rear.
First Row Seats
The XPENG G3i offers a single type of front seat.

The XPENG G3i features a screen-focused control interface with limited physical buttons and no stalks, providing a minimalist approach to vehicle controls. This design prioritizes touchscreen interaction, which may appeal to tech-savvy users but could be less intuitive for those accustomed to traditional controls.
This model features a dual-screen configuration, with a dedicated digital instrument cluster for the driver and a central infotainment display integrated into the center console.

The XPENG G3i does not have a head-up display. Speed and navigation information remain on the vehicle's other displays.
Steering Wheel

Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA): Standard on the XPENG G3i. It detects vehicles approaching from the side while reversing out of a parking space or driveway.
Forward Collision Warning (FCW): Standard on the XPENG G3i. It warns the driver of a potential frontal collision.
Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB): Standard on the XPENG G3i. It applies the brakes automatically if the driver does not respond to an imminent collision.
Automatic Emergency Steering (AES): Standard on the XPENG G3i. The system can steer automatically to help avoid an imminent collision.
Blind-spot Monitoring (BSM): Standard on the XPENG G3i. It detects traffic in the vehicle's blind spots.
Exit Warning: Standard on the XPENG G3i. It warns occupants not to open a door when it detects approaching traffic or another hazard.
Driving Automation
The standard XPILOT 2.5 SAE Level 2 system includes the following driving automation features:
- Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
- Lane Centering Assist (LCA) / AutoSteer: Centers the vehicle in its lane and adjusts speed in traffic. The driver must keep their hands on the steering wheel and remain attentive.

The XPENG G3i is equipped with the following airbags:

- Side curtain airbags for both the first and second rows
- Side airbags for the driver and front passenger
Security and Access Technologies
The XPENG G3i includes the following security and access features:
- Keyless Entry and Start: Unlock and start the car with the key in your pocket or bag.
- Phone-as-Key Functionality: Use your smartphone as a digital key to unlock and start the vehicle.
- Alarm System: Monitors for unauthorized entry or tampering and sounds the alarm when triggered.
Cargo Capacity and Towing Ability
The trunk offers a cargo capacity of 380 liters (13.4 cu ft). With the rear seat folded down, this expands to 760 liters (26.8 cu ft).
The maximum roof load is 80 kg (176.4 lb).
The maximum permitted vehicle weight is 2110 kg (4652 lbs), and the base curb weight is 1665 kg (3671 lbs). This leaves a payload of 445 kg (981 lbs), including occupants. Options can increase curb weight and reduce payload.
445 kg is considered low for this type of car and may limit how much cargo you can carry in addition to passengers.
This model is not available with a towbar and cannot tow a trailer.
