Battery, Range, and Charging
The battery has a gross capacity of 22.4 kWh and a net usable capacity of 21.4 kWh, with a 1.0 kWh buffer (4.5%) for battery protection. With a nominal voltage of 224 volts, the system is classified as a 400-volt battery system.
The lithium-ion battery uses LFP technology, which has different characteristics from typical NCA and NMC batteries.
According to the WLTP (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure) standard, the vehicle's range is 210 km (131 miles), with an energy consumption rate of 10.2 kWh/100 km (6.1 mi/kWh).

The vehicle supports fast DC charging with a maximum power of 35.8 kW. A 0–100% charge takes approximately 78 minutes. A typical 10–80% session takes about 31 minutes at an average power of 29 kW.
With five minutes of overhead per stop, the optimal charging window is 2–61%. Effective average power, including overhead, is 26 kW over a session lasting about 29 minutes and 18 seconds.
Onboard Charger
The standard onboard charger supports AC charging at up to 3 kW. A full 0–100% charge takes about 7 hours and 8 minutes with a suitable home charging setup.
Charge Port
The charge port is conveniently located on the right front side, facilitating easy access at charging stations where you park parallel to the charger.
A second port is on the right front side. This extra port gives you more parking options for AC charging.
Bidirectional Charging
This model supports V2H (Vehicle to Home) functionality, allowing the car to serve as a backup power source for your home.
V2H requires compatible equipment in the home.

The standard Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) SAE Level 2 system includes the following driving automation features:

- Lane Centering Assist (LCA) / AutoSteer: Centers the vehicle in its lane and adjusts speed in traffic. The driver must keep their hands on the steering wheel and remain attentive.
Safety
The BYD Racco 22.4 kWh is equipped with the following airbags:

- Side curtain airbags for both the first and second rows

The front and rear seatbelts are equipped with pyrotechnic pretensioners and load limiters. In the event of a collision, the pretensioners tighten the seatbelts to secure occupants firmly in their seats, while the load limiters allow a controlled amount of webbing to extend, reducing the risk of injury from excessive force.
Security and Access Technologies
The BYD Racco 22.4 kWh includes the following security and access features:
- Keyless Entry and Start: Unlock and start the car with the key in your pocket or bag.

The maximum permitted vehicle weight is 1380 kg (3042 lbs), and the base curb weight is 1160 kg (2557 lbs). This leaves a payload of 220 kg (485 lbs), including occupants. Options can increase curb weight and reduce payload.
This model is not available with a towbar and cannot tow a trailer.
