The battery has a gross capacity of 54.0 kWh and a net usable capacity of 52.0 kWh, with a 2.0 kWh buffer (3.7%) for battery protection.
The lithium-ion battery uses LFP technology, which has different characteristics from typical NCA and NMC batteries.
The vehicle's range, according to the CLTC (China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle) standard, is 501 km (311 miles).
The energy consumption is 10.4 kWh/100 km based on the CLTC standard test.

The vehicle supports fast DC charging with a maximum power of kW. A 0–100% charge takes approximately 3355 minutes. A typical 10–80% session takes about 2348 minutes at an average power of 1 kW.
With five minutes of overhead per stop, the optimal charging window is 0–100%. Effective average power, including overhead, is 1 kW over a session lasting about 3360 minutes and 50 seconds.
In a 1000 km challenge at a constant speed of 120 km/h (75 mph) with an assumed consumption rate of 21 kWh/100 km, the trip would take about 10 hours and 38 minutes, needing four charging stops from 0% to 76%, totaling 10219 minutes of charging time.
Onboard Charger
The standard onboard charger supports AC charging at up to 6.6 kW. A full 0–100% charge takes about 7 hours and 52 minutes with a suitable home charging setup.
Charge Port
The location of the charge port is on the front. This location makes it easy to use charge stations where you need to park with the front in.
Bidirectional Charging
This model supports V2L (Vehicle to Load), allowing you to power electrical equipment requiring up to 3.3 kW of power, and even charge other electric vehicles.
Drivetrain
The Baojun Yep Plus 54 kWh has a front-wheel drive system supported by one motor on the front axle.
Suspension
The suspension system features a MacPherson strut front construction and a torsion beam rear construction. Both the front and rear dampers are monotube dampers, providing consistent performance and durability. The front and rear springs are coil springs, offering a balance of comfort and performance.
The Standard suspension has a fixed height and damping characteristics.

User Interface and Control
The Baojun Yep Plus 54 kWh uses a primarily screen-based interface while retaining steering-column stalks and a limited number of physical buttons.
This model features a dual-screen configuration, with a dedicated digital instrument cluster for the driver and a central infotainment display integrated into the center console.

- Driver Information Display: The 8.8-inch screen is integrated into the dashboard behind the steering wheel. It provides essential driving data such as speed, range, and navigation prompts.

Mobile App
The Baojun Yep Plus 54 kWh has a mobile app for Android and iOS to manage and monitor the vehicle remotely. Features:

Driving Automation
The standard Lingmou Intelligent Driving SAE Level 2 system includes the following driving automation features:
- Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
- Lane Centering Assist (LCA) / AutoSteer: Centers the vehicle in its lane and adjusts speed in traffic. The driver must keep their hands on the steering wheel and remain attentive.

The optional Lingmou Intelligent Driving 2.0 Max SAE Level 2 system adds the following features:
- Navigation-guided driving: Follows the planned route, including highway entry and exit.

Safety
The Baojun Yep Plus 54 kWh is equipped with the following airbags:
- Front airbags for the driver and front passenger
- Side curtain airbags for both the first and second rows
- Side airbags for the driver and front passenger
The front and rear seatbelts are equipped with pyrotechnic pretensioners and load limiters. In the event of a collision, the pretensioners tighten the seatbelts to secure occupants firmly in their seats, while the load limiters allow a controlled amount of webbing to extend, reducing the risk of injury from excessive force.
Security and Access Technologies
The Baojun Yep Plus 54 kWh includes the following security and access features:
- Keyless Entry and Start: Unlock and start the car with the key in your pocket or bag.
- Integrated Dashcam: Records video while driving.
Cargo Capacity and Towing Ability
The trunk offers a cargo capacity of 385 liters (13.6 cu ft). With the rear seat folded down, this expands to 1715 liters (60.6 cu ft).
The maximum permitted vehicle weight is 1820 kg (4012 lbs), and the base curb weight is 1410 kg (3109 lbs). This leaves a payload of 410 kg (904 lbs), including occupants. Options can increase curb weight and reduce payload.
This model is not available with a towbar and cannot tow a trailer.
