Performance

The Li Auto MEGA delivers a solid performance with a maximum power of 400 kW (544 hp / 536 bhp) and a total torque of 542 Nm (400 lb-ft). It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in 5.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 190 km/h (118 mph), making it competitive within its class.

Battery, Range, and Charging

The high-capacity battery has a gross capacity of 102.7 kWh and a net usable capacity of 100.0 kWh, providing a 2.7 kWh buffer (2.6%) for battery protection. With a nominal voltage of 370 volts, the system is classified as a 400-volt battery system, aligning with industry standards. This Lithium-Ion battery utilizes NMC (Nickel Manganese Cobalt) technology.

The vehicle's range, according to the CLTC (China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle) standard, is 710 km (441 miles). The vehicle supports fast DC charging with a maximum power of 520 kW. Charging from 0% to 100% takes approximately 23 minutes, while a typical 10% to 80% charge takes about 11 minutes with an average charging speed of 389 kW. Considering an additional 5 minutes for each charging stop due to driving interruptions, the optimal charging range is from 1% to 80%. This results in an effective charging speed, including time lost, of 279 kW, with each charging session taking about 17 minutes and 59 seconds. This exceptionally fast charging capability makes the Li Auto MEGA one of the most efficient and convenient EVs for long-distance travel.

In a 1000 km challenge at a constant speed of 120 km/h (75 mph) with an assumed consumption rate of 23 kWh/100 km, the trip would take about 8 hours and 48 minutes, needing two charging stops from 2% to 67%, totaling 29 minutes of charging time.

Onboard Charger

The standard onboard charger supports up to 11 kW for Level 1 and Level 2 AC charging, allowing a full 0–100% charge in about 9 hours and 5 minutes with a standard home setup.

Charge Port

The charge port is located on the left rear side, making it easy to use charge stations where you need to back up into the charger.

Drivetrain

The Li Auto MEGA has a rear-wheel drive system supported by one motor on the rear axle. The motors used are Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors.

Suspension

The front suspension is double wishbone, and the rear suspension is Multilink. It uses air suspension and hydraulic dampers. The suspension is fully adaptive on the front and rear axle, so height and damping can be adjusted manually and automatically.The minimum ground clearance is 162 mm, and the maximum is 192 mm.

Brakes

The Li Auto MEGA is equipped with cast-iron disc brakes on both the front and rear. The front discs measure 533 mm, while the rear discs are 457 mm.

Regenerative Braking

Automatic regeneration is not available in this model. However, regenerative braking is available through one-pedal driving combined with blended brakes.

Up to one radar sensors, one LiDAR sensors, nine cameras, and en 12 ultrasonic sensors monitor the vehicle’s surroundings.

The trunk offers a cargo capacity of 1054 liters (37.2 CU FT). With the third-row seat folded down, this expands to 1800 liters (63.6 CU FT).

Additionally, there is a frunk (front trunk) with a storage capacity of 32 liters (1.1 CU FT).

The vehicle’s maximum weight is 3400 kg (7496 lbs), with a base weight of 2763 kg (6091 lbs). This allows for a maximum load of 637 kg (1404 lbs), including the driver and passengers. Note that some options may increase the base weight and reduce the maximum loading capacity.

This model is not available with a towbar. So, to pull a trailer, you must look at other models.
