Performance
The DS 3 E-Tense has a maximum power of 115 kW (156 hp / 154 bhp) and a total torque of 260 Nm (192 lb-ft). It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in 9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 150 km/h (93 mph).

Battery, Range, and Charging
The battery has a gross capacity of 54.0 kWh and a net usable capacity of 50.8 kWh, with a 3.2 kWh buffer (5.9%) for battery protection. With a nominal voltage of 377 volts, the system is classified as a 400-volt battery system.
The lithium-ion battery uses NMC (nickel manganese cobalt) chemistry.
Under the WLTP (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure) standard, the maximum rated range is 402 km (250 miles). Depending on the configuration and options such as wheel size, the rated range can be as low as 396 km (246 miles). Larger wheels generally increase energy consumption and reduce range.
WLTP energy consumption is 12.6 kWh/100 km for the base configuration and 12.8 kWh/100 km for the highest-consumption configuration.

The vehicle supports fast DC charging with a maximum power of 100 kW. A 0–100% charge takes approximately 58 minutes. A typical 10–80% session takes about 29 minutes at an average power of 72 kW.
With five minutes of overhead per stop, the optimal charging window is 4–57%. Effective average power, including overhead, is 65 kW over a session lasting about 25 minutes and 50 seconds.
In a 1000 km challenge at a constant speed of 120 km/h (75 mph) with an assumed consumption rate of 25 kWh/100 km, the trip would take about 11 hours and 27 minutes, needing seven charging stops from 3% to 60%, totaling 188 minutes of charging time.
Onboard Charger
The standard onboard charger supports AC charging at up to 11 kW. A full 0–100% charge takes about 4 hours and 37 minutes with a suitable home charging setup.
Charge Port
The charge port is on the left rear side. This position suits charging bays where the vehicle reverses toward the charging point.

Drivetrain
The DS 3 E-Tense has a front-wheel drive system supported by one motor on the front axle.
The motor used is Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor.
Suspension
The suspension system features a MacPherson strut front construction and a torsion beam rear construction. Both the front and rear dampers are monotube dampers, providing consistent performance and durability. The front and rear springs are coil springs, offering a balance of comfort and performance.
The Standard suspension has a fixed height and damping characteristics.
Ground clearance with this setup is 170 mm.
Drive Modes
The DS 3 E-Tense lets the user select different drive modes that affect the car's handling.
The driver can choose between 3 modes:
- ECO: Comfort steering and throttle.
- NORMAL: Balanced steering and throttle.
- SPORT: Dynamic steering and throttle.
Brakes
The DS 3 E-Tense uses disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. Rear drum brakes require little maintenance and pair well with regenerative braking, which handles most deceleration.
The front discs are 330 mm.
Regenerative Braking
Regenerative braking works in two ways: through one-pedal driving, or through the brake pedal using blended braking while coasting.
At low speeds, the one-pedal drive mode will keep the car creeping forward.If you lift away the foot completely the regen is at one fixed level. This can't be adjusted.
Exterior
The DS 3 E-Tense, with dimensions of 4118 mm in length, 1802 mm in width, and 1534 mm in height, falls into the B-SUV segment, also known as subcompact SUVs or crossovers.
The DS 3 E-Tense is available in a total of 5 solid paint colors.
The DS 3 E-Tense offers multiple wheel options in different sizes. The available tire and wheel combinations include:
- 215/60 tires on 17" rims
- 215/55 tires on 18" rims
Narrower wheels reduce energy consumption and can increase range, while wider wheels can improve traction and handling.
The car has four regular doors and a hatchback-style liftgate.
There is only one roof option for this model.
A conventional roof is standard.
Privacy glass from the B-pillar rearward is optional. It reduces glare and solar heat.

The interior of the DS 3 E-Tense is designed with a minimalist aesthetic, featuring premium materials throughout. The floating center console creates an open space between the passenger and driver.

Navigation System

The DS 3 E-Tense supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, providing access to compatible phone apps such as Google Maps and Waze on the car's display.
Sound System
You can choose between two sound systems for the DS 3 E-Tense:
- Standard: Features eight speakers.
- Focal Electra Premium Hi-Fi: The system has 12 speakers and a maximum output of 690 watts.

Mobile App
The DS 3 E-Tense has a mobile app for Android and iOS to manage and monitor the vehicle remotely. Features:
- Locate Your Vehicle: Check the current location of your car.
- Preconditioning: Preheat or cool your car before you start your journey.
- Lock and unlock: Lock or unlock the doors remotely.
- Scheduled Charging: Set a charging schedule.
- Charge Target: Set the battery's target state of charge.
- Find your car: Sound the horn or flash the lights to locate the car.
- Route Planning: Plan your route and send it directly to your car's navigation system.
Lights
The standard headlights use LED Matrix technology. LED Matrix splits the headlight beam into dozens of small rays that the controller can turn on and off individually to selectively dim areas ahead. Corner lights illuminate the side when turning.
The taillights use LED technology.

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems
The DS 3 E-Tense offers standard and optional advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
Efficiency Assist: A Standard feature that helps drivers anticipate driving conditions and conserve energy.
Safety Systems
Anti-lock Braking System (ABS): Standard on the DS 3 E-Tense. It prevents the wheels from locking during braking.
Electronic Stability Control (ESC): Standard on the DS 3 E-Tense. It improves stability during sudden maneuvers and on slippery roads.
Lane-Keeping Assist (LKA): Standard on the DS 3 E-Tense. It applies steering corrections if the vehicle begins to leave its lane.
The Lane Departure Warning alerts the driver if the vehicle begins to leave its lane.
Front Cross Traffic Assist (FCTA): Optional on the DS 3 E-Tense. It detects traffic crossing ahead when entering an intersection or pulling away from a stop.
Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA): Optional on the DS 3 E-Tense. It detects vehicles approaching from the side while reversing out of a parking space or driveway.
Forward Collision Warning (FCW): Standard on the DS 3 E-Tense. It warns the driver of a potential frontal collision.
Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB): Standard on the DS 3 E-Tense. It applies the brakes automatically if the driver does not respond to an imminent collision.
Automatic Emergency Steering (AES): Standard on the DS 3 E-Tense. The system can steer automatically to help avoid an imminent collision.
Blind-spot Monitoring (BSM): Optional on the DS 3 E-Tense. It detects traffic in the vehicle's blind spots.
Driving Automation
The DS 3 E-Tense offers driving automation at level 1, depending on the equipment level.
The Level 1 DS Drive Assist system provides the following driving automation features.
Sensors & Cameras
This model uses cameras, radar, and ultrasonic sensors for its driver assist systems.
Up to one radar sensors, six cameras, and two ultrasonic sensors monitor the vehicle’s surroundings.
Safety
The DS 3 E-Tense is equipped with the following airbags:
- Front airbags for the driver and front passenger
- Side curtain airbags for both the first and second rows
- Side airbags for the driver and front passenger
Security and Access Technologies
The DS 3 E-Tense includes the following security and access features:
- Keyless Entry and Start: Unlock and start the car with the key in your pocket or bag.
- Alarm System: Monitors for unauthorized entry or tampering and sounds the alarm when triggered.
Cargo Capacity and Towing Ability
The trunk offers a cargo capacity of 350 liters (12.4 cu ft). With the rear seat folded down, this expands to 1050 liters (37.1 cu ft).
The maximum permitted vehicle weight is 2008 kg (4427 lbs), and the base curb weight is 1550 kg (3417 lbs). This leaves a payload of 458 kg (1010 lbs), including occupants. Options can increase curb weight and reduce payload.
This model is not available with a towbar and cannot tow a trailer.
