Battery, Range, and Charging
The battery has a gross capacity of 73.6 kWh and a net usable capacity of 73.0 kWh, with a 0.6 kWh buffer (0.8%) for battery protection. With a nominal voltage of 400 volts, the system is classified as a 400-volt battery system.
The lithium-ion battery uses LFP technology, which has different characteristics from typical NCA and NMC batteries.
The vehicle's range, according to the CLTC (China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle) standard, is 700 km (435 miles).
The energy consumption is 10.4 kWh/100 km based on the CLTC standard test.

The vehicle supports fast DC charging with a maximum power of 170 kW. A 0–100% charge takes approximately 46 minutes. A typical 10–80% session takes about 25 minutes at an average power of 122 kW.
With five minutes of overhead per stop, the optimal charging window is 3–72%. Effective average power, including overhead, is 106 kW over a session lasting about 29 minutes and 31 seconds.
In a 1000 km challenge at a constant speed of 120 km/h (75 mph) with an assumed consumption rate of 16 kWh/100 km, the trip would take about 9 hours and 9 minutes, needing two charging stops from 3% to 63%, totaling 50 minutes of charging time.
Onboard Charger
The standard onboard charger supports AC charging at up to 11 kW. A full 0–100% charge takes about 6 hours and 38 minutes with a suitable home charging setup.
Charge Port
The charge port is on the left rear side. This position suits charging bays where the vehicle reverses toward the charging point.

Bidirectional Charging

Drivetrain

Lights
The standard headlights use LED Matrix technology. LED Matrix is an adaptive system that splits the traditional single headlight beam into dozens of smaller rays that the light controller can turn on and off individually to selectively dim small areas ahead. It includes corner lights that illuminate the side when turning.

Driving Automation
The standard Xiaomi Pilot Max SAE Level 2 system includes the following driving automation features:
- Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
- Lane Centering Assist (LCA) / AutoSteer: Centers the vehicle in its lane and adjusts speed in traffic. The driver must keep their hands on the steering wheel and remain attentive.
- Navigation-guided driving: Follows the planned route, including highway entry and exit.

- Traffic light control: Responds to detected traffic signals.

The maximum permitted vehicle weight is 2430 kg (5357 lbs), and the base curb weight is 1980 kg (4365 lbs). This leaves a payload of 450 kg (992 lbs), including occupants. Options can increase curb weight and reduce payload.
This model is not available with a towbar and cannot tow a trailer.

The Xiaomi SU7 had its world premiere on 12/28/2023, with deliveries starting in March 2024.
