Performance

The MG Cyberster AWD Long Range has a maximum power of 400 KW (544 hp/536 bhp). The total torque is 725 nm (535 ft-lb). It performs the 0-100km/h sprint (0-62mph) in 3.2 seconds. The top speed is 200 km/h.

Battery, range, and charging

The battery has a gross capacity of 77kWh and a net capacity of 74,4kWh, meaning you have a 2,6kWh buffer for protection. (3.4%). The Lithium-Ion battery uses NMC technology.

The maximum DC charging speed is 135kW. A full charge from 0 - 100% would take 101 minutes, while a more common scenario of 10-80% would take 32 minutes. If you assume you lose 5 minutes driving per charge stop in addition to the charge time, the optimum charge area is from 3% to 58%, resulting in an actual charge speed, including time loss, of 100kW. Each charge session would take 25 minutes and 33 seconds.

For the theoretical 1000km challenge, starting with a full battery and driving at 120km/h (75 mph), assuming optimal driving conditions and consumption of 21kWh/100km, 1000km will take 9 hours and 43 minutes. Onboard charger

For level 1 and level 2 AC charging, the onboard charger supports up to 11 KW charging. As a result, you can charge the battery 0-100% from home in about 6 hours and 45 minutes.

Charge port

The location of the charge port is on the left rear side. This location makes it easy to use charge stations where you need to back up into the charger. Drivetrain

MG Cyberster AWD Long Range has an all-wheel drive system supported by two motors, one on each axle.

The front suspension is double wishbone, and the rear suspension is Multilink. It uses steel springs and hydraulic dampers. The suspension has a fixed height and damping. The ground clearance with this suspension is 120 mm.

Brakes

The rear and front brakes are cast-iron discs.

Regenerative braking is available in several modes. The most efficient is automatic regen. In this mode, the car coasts when possible and uses regenerative braking to reduce speed. You can also enable one-pedal driving.

Exterior

You can choose between 7 different paint colors when ordering this model.

The car has two scissor doors and a bootlid in the rear.

There is only one roof for this model. The standard roof is a soft top that can be folded down.

User interface and control

On top of the dashboard is a shared frame with three screens, and in the center console, there is a fourth infotainment screen. The touch screen in the left side of the shared frame is 8.0 inches large. The screen behind the steering wheel in the middle of the shared frame is 10.0 inches large. The touch screen at the right part of the shared frame is 8.0 inches large. The touch screen in the middle of the center console is 7.0 inches large. The model does not have a head-up display.

This model is equipped with voice control as standard. The voice control lets you control some functionality through voice commands.

Infotainment

One type of sound system is available for the MG Cyberster AWD Long Range. With the Bose Sound System, you get six speakers with a max system output of 300 watts.

In addition, with the standard in-car navigation system, you get the help you need to find your destination. Furthermore, the MG Cyberster AWD Long Range supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. This functionality allows you to present your phone’s screen in the car’s screen so you can run apps like Google Maps or Waze.

The model has 1 USB-C connections as standard. The model has 1 USB-A connections as standard.

Advanced driver assistance systems

The MG Cyberster AWD Long Range has several standard and optional advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) for better safety and comfort.

Safety systems

The MG Cyberster AWD Long Range has a lane-keeping assist as a standard system. This system helps to prevent the car from getting out of its lane. In addition, it has a lane departure warning system that warns the driver if the vehicle leaves the driving lane.

Driving Automation

With the level 2 system, you get the following driving automation features.

• Adaptive Cruise control
• Lane Centering Assist (LCA) /AutoSteer: keeps the car in your lane and slows down if needed in traffic. The system limits how long you can drive without touching the steering wheel.

Cargo Capacity and Towing Ability

The cargo capacity in the trunk is 240 liters. The maxium weight of the car is 2250 kg (4960 lbs), and with the base weight of 1985 kg (4376 lbs), you can max load 265 kg (584 lbs), including driver and passengers. Some options can increase the base weight and reduce the maximum loading weight.

This model is not available with a towbar. So, to pull a trailer, you must look at other models.
