Performance
The Mercedes GLA 200 has a maximum power of 165 kW (224 hp / 221 bhp) and a total torque of 335 Nm (247 lb-ft). It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in 8.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 210 km/h (131 mph).
Battery, Range, and Charging
The battery has a gross capacity of 60.0 kWh and a net usable capacity of 58.0 kWh, with a 2.0 kWh buffer (3.3%) for battery protection. The system is classified as an 800-volt battery system. This high voltage is pivotal in enabling the system's charging capabilities.
The lithium-ion battery uses LFP technology, which has different characteristics from typical NCA and NMC batteries.
Under the WLTP (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure) standard, the maximum rated range is 447 km (278 miles). Depending on the configuration and options such as wheel size, the rated range can be as low as 394 km (245 miles). Larger wheels generally increase energy consumption and reduce range.
WLTP energy consumption is 13.0 kWh/100 km for the base configuration and 14.7 kWh/100 km for the highest-consumption configuration.
For more details about the range, see real-world data and range listings on this model’s range and consumption page.
The vehicle supports fast DC charging with a maximum power of 200 kW. A 0–100% charge takes approximately 53 minutes. A typical 10–80% session takes about 23 minutes at an average power of 108 kW.
With five minutes of overhead per stop, the optimal charging window is 3–56%. Effective average power, including overhead, is 101 kW over a session lasting about 18 minutes and 14 seconds.
Onboard Charger
The standard onboard charger supports AC charging at up to 11 kW. A full 0–100% charge takes about 5 hours and 16 minutes with a suitable home charging setup.
An optional 22 kW onboard charger reduces the full charge time to approximately 2 hours and 38 minutes.
Charge Port
The location of the charge port is on the right rear side. This placement makes it easy to use charging stations that require backing up to connect.
Connector types vary by market: this model uses CCS Combo 1 in North America and CCS Combo 2 in Europe. For complete specifications for all markets, refer to the full specifications.

Manual regeneration is another mode, where regenerative braking is controlled by pressing the brake pedal. The brake system blends in physical brakes only when necessary.
Another option is the Regen on Accelerator Pedal mode where regenerative braking is activated when the driver eases off the accelerator pedal. This system allows the vehicle to slow down and recover energy without the driver needing to press the brake pedal, a feature often referred to as one-pedal driving.
Drivers can also adjust the regenerative braking strength when lifting off the accelerator, choosing between two levels.
The maximum regenerative braking power is 200 kW.

- 215/60 tires on 18" rims
- 235/55 tires on 18" rims
Narrower wheels reduce energy consumption and can increase range, while wider wheels can improve traction and handling.
The car has four regular doors and a liftgate.
A powered liftgate is standard, and a hands-free kick sensor is optional.
There is only one roof option for this model.
