Performance

The Lucid Air Dream Edition Range has a maximum power of 696 KW (946 hp/933 bhp). The total torque is 1390 nm (1026 ft-lb). It performs the 0-100km/h sprint (0-62mph) in 2.9 seconds. The top speed is 270 km/h.

Battery, range, and charging

The battery has a gross capacity of 118kWh and a net capacity of 117kWh, meaning you have a 1kWh buffer for protection. (0.8%).

The WLTP range varies from 883 to 828 km (549-515 mi), depending on car options. Bigger wheels are an example of an equipment option that increases consumption and reduces the electric range. The consumption is between 13.3kWh/100km for the basic version and 14.1kWh/100km for the top trim version for the WLTP standard test. The maximum DC charging speed is kW. A full charge from 0 - 100% would take 77 minutes, while a more common scenario of 10-80% would take 33 minutes. If you assume you lose 5 minutes driving per charge stop in addition to the charge time, the optimum charge area is from 1% to 46%, resulting in an actual charge speed, including time loss, of 174kW. Each charge session would take 18 minutes and 7 seconds.

For the theoretical 1000km challenge, starting with a full battery and driving at 120km/h (75 mph), assuming optimal driving conditions and consumption of 19kWh/100km, 1000km will take 8 hours and 47 minutes. This trip will require two charge session(s) charging from 1% to 33%. The total time lost for charging up the battery will be 27 minutes.

Onboard charger

For level 1 and level 2 AC charging, the onboard charger supports up to 22 KW charging. As a result, you can charge the battery 0-100% from home in about 5 hours and 19 minutes.

Charge port

The location of the charge port is on the left front side. This location makes it easy to charge stations where you park side into the charger. The connector types vary between the different markets. Drivetrain

Lucid Air Dream Edition Range has an all-wheel drive system supported by two motors, one on each axle. The motor(s) used are Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors.

The suspension has steel springs with a fixed height, but you can adjust damping to fit your driving style or road condition. The ground clearance with this suspension is 126 mm.

Steering

Dynamic steering is a standard feature on the Lucid Air Dream Edition Range. Dynamic steering varies the steering ratio as a function of driving speed.

Brakes

The rear and front brakes are cast-iron discs. The front discs are 380mm, and the rear discs are 375mm.

Regenerative braking is available through one-pedal driving. Automatic regen or coasting is not available in this model. The system stops the car completely using friction brakes.

Exterior

You can choose between 4 different paint colors when ordering this model. Additionally, you can choose between 6 wheels with sizes from 19 to 21 inches.

The car has four regular doors and a boot lid for the trunk.

There is only one roof for this model. The windshield is panoramic going back over the first row. In addition there is glasspanel over the second row. This glass makes the car’s interior feel more spacious and bright, which can improve the mood and comfort of the occupant. The glass is toned to protect against heat from the sun.

Interior

The seat layout is the traditional five seats with two in front and three in the rear.

First row seats

Only one front seat type is available in the Lucid Air Dream Edition Range.

The second row has a standard three-seat bench with a 60:40 split where you can fold each section separately to increase the cargo space. In addition, the following functionalities are available.

There is only one type of steering wheel available.

Climate system

There is one climate system available. The climate system supports different temperatures in four zones for the driver, passenger, and two separate passengers in the back seat. This model has not a heat pump. This can increase consumption in cold weather compared to models with a heat pump.

Comfort

Lucid Air Dream Edition Range has several features to make your life as a driver or passenger more comfortable.

Keyless entry allows access to the car without needing to find the key. As long you bring it with you, the doors open.

Keyless go makes it possible to start the car without using the key.

The steering wheel is electrically adjustable.

You have wireless charging for your phone.

User interface and control

On top of the dashboard is a shared frame with three screens, and in the center console, there is a fourth infotainment screen. The touch screen in the left side of the shared frame is 8.0 inches large. The screen behind the steering wheel in the middle of the shared frame is 14.0 inches large. The touch screen at the right part of the shared frame is 12.0 inches large. The touch screen in the middle of the center console is 12.0 inches large. The model does not have a head-up display.

Infotainment

You can choose between two sound systems on the Lucid Air Dream Edition Range. With the Surreal Sound, you get nine speakers with a max system output of 300 watts. With the Surreal Sound Pro, you get 21 speakers with a max system output of 800 watts.

In addition, with the standard in-car navigation system, you get the help you need to find your destination.

The model has 3 USB-C connections as standard. The model has 1 USB-A connections as standard.

Lights

The standard headlights use LED technology.

Advanced driver assistance systems

The Lucid Air Dream Edition Range has several standard and optional advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) for better safety and comfort.

Safety systems

The Lucid Air Dream Edition Range has an anti-lock braking system (ABS) as a standard system. This system helps to prevent a vehicle’s wheels from locking up during braking.

The Lucid Air Dream Edition Range has an Electronic Stability Control as a standard system designed to improve a vehicle’s stability and handling during sudden maneuvers or slippery road conditions.

The Lucid Air Dream Edition Range has a lane-keeping assist as a standard system. This system helps to prevent the car from getting out of its lane. In addition, it has a lane departure warning system that warns the driver if the vehicle leaves the driving lane.

Front Cross Traffic Assist is a standard driver assist system that helps drivers detect oncoming traffic when crossing an intersection or turning left or right from a stopped position.

Automatic emergency steering is a standard driver assist system designed to help drivers avoid collisions by automatically steering the vehicle in an emergency.

Blind-spot monitoring is a standard driver-assist system. This side assist system helps to detect traffic in blind spots.

Driving Automation

With the ADAS level 2 system, you get the following driving automation features.

• Adaptive Cruise control
• Lane Centering Assist (LCA) /AutoSteer: keeps the car in your lane and slows down if needed in traffic. The system limits how long you can drive without touching the steering wheel.

Cargo Capacity and Towing Ability

The cargo capacity in the trunk is 456 liters. With the rear seat down, it is 627 liters. On the roof, you can load up to 75 kg (165.3 lbs). Under the hood, there is frunk with more storage room. This frunk is 283 liters (10.0 CU FT). The maxium weight of the car is 2850 kg (6283 lbs), and with the base weight of 2360 kg (5203 lbs), you can max load 490 kg (1080 lbs), including driver and passengers. Some options can increase the base weight and reduce the maximum loading weight.

This model is not available with a towbar. So, to pull a trailer, you must look at other models.
