Automatic regeneration is not available in this model. However, regenerative braking is available through one-pedal driving combined with blended brakes.
The system stops the car completely using friction brakes.Drivers can also adjust the regenerative braking strength when lifting off the accelerator. There are four levels of regenerative braking to choose from, allowing you to customize the driving experience to your preference.
The maximum regenerative braking power is 100 kW.

The car has four regular doors and a hatchback-style liftgate.
There are two different roof options to select from.
A conventional roof is standard.
As an option, you can order this model with a large panoramic roof extending over most of the areas from the front to the rear. This glass creates a more spacious and bright interior. The glass is toned to protect against heat from the sun.

- LED Matrix Headlights: Available as an upgrade, this adaptive system divides the traditional headlight beam into dozens of smaller rays that the light controller can activate or deactivate individually. This optimizes lighting by selectively dimming specific areas to avoid dazzling oncoming traffic. The lights swivel when turning to illuminate the direction of travel. It includes corner lights that illuminate the side when turning.
The taillights use LED technology.
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems
The Smart #3 Pro+ offers standard and optional advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
Efficiency Assist: A Standard feature that helps drivers anticipate driving conditions and conserve energy.
Safety Systems
Anti-lock Braking System (ABS): Standard on the Smart #3 Pro+. It prevents the wheels from locking during braking.
Electronic Stability Control (ESC): Standard on the Smart #3 Pro+. It improves stability during sudden maneuvers and on slippery roads.
Lane-Keeping Assist (LKA): Standard on the Smart #3 Pro+. It applies steering corrections if the vehicle begins to leave its lane.
The Lane Departure Warning alerts the driver if the vehicle begins to leave its lane.

The standard Pilot Assist SAE Level 2 system includes the following driving automation features:

The trunk offers a cargo capacity of 370 liters (13.1 cu ft). With the rear seat folded down, this expands to 1160 liters (41.0 cu ft).
The maximum roof load is 75 kg (165.3 lb).
The frunk (front trunk) has a capacity of 15 liters (0.5 cu ft).
The maximum permitted vehicle weight is 2230 kg (4916 lbs), and the base curb weight is 1780 kg (3924 lbs). This leaves a payload of 450 kg (992 lbs), including occupants. Options can increase curb weight and reduce payload.
450 kg is considered low for this type of car and may limit how much cargo you can carry in addition to passengers.
A towbar can be added to the vehicle. The maximum permissible weight for a braked trailer is 1600 kg (3527 lbs), while for an unbraked trailer, it is 750 kg (1653 lbs).
