Performance

Charge port

The location of the charge port is on the left front corner. This location makes it easy to use charge stations where you need to park with the front in. Drivetrain

Rivian R1T Performance Dual-Motor AWD MP has an all-wheel drive system supported by two motors, one on each axle.

The front suspension is double wishbone, and the rear suspension is Multilink. It uses air suspension and hydraulic dampers. The suspension is fully adaptive on the front and rear axle, so height and damping can be adjusted manually and automatically. The minimum ground clearance is 205 mm, and the maximum is 378 mm.

Brakes

The rear and front brakes are cast-iron discs. The front discs are 343mm, and the rear discs are 328mm.

Regenerative braking is available through one-pedal driving. Automatic regen or coasting is not available in this model. The system stops the car completely using friction brakes. You can adjust how strong regen you get when you lift the foot. There are two levels.

Exterior

You can choose between 9 different paint colors when ordering this model.

The car has four regular doors and a tailgate where the gate falls down. The tailgate is electrically powered.

There is only one roof for this model. As an option, you can order this model with a large panoramic roof extending from the front to the rear. This glass makes the car’s interior feel more spacious and bright, which can improve the mood and comfort of the occupant. The glass is toned to protect against heat from the sun.

The windows from B-pillar and back are tinted.

Interior

The seat layout is the traditional five seats with two in front and three in the rear.

First row seats

Only one front seat type is available in the Rivian R1T Performance Dual-Motor AWD MP.

Keyless entry allows access to the car without needing to find the key. As long you bring it with you, the doors open.

User interface and control

The Rivian R1T Performance Dual-Motor AWD MP has multiple integrated screens. Behind the steering wheel is a digital instrument cluster, and in the center console, there is one infotainment screen at the top of the center console. The screen behind the steering wheel integrated into the dashboard is 12.3 inches large and has a 1920 x 720 pixels resolution. The touch screen at the top of the center console is 15.3 inches large and has a 1540 x 720 pixels resolution. The model does not have a head-up display.

This model is equipped with voice control as standard. The voice control lets you control some functionality through voice commands.

Infotainment

One type of sound system is available for the Rivian R1T Performance Dual-Motor AWD MP. With the Rivian Elevation audio system, you get 22 speakers with a max system output of 1100 watts.

Lane Centering Assist (LCA) /AutoSteer: keeps the car in your lane and slows down if needed in traffic. The system limits how long you can drive without touching the steering wheel.

Cargo Capacity and Towing Ability

The cargo capacity in the truck bed is 1925 liters. The bed width is 1275 mm, and length is 1371 mm. The max load weight in bed is 800 kg. On the roof, you can load up to 113 kg (249.1 lbs). Under the hood, there is frunk with more storage room. This frunk is 314 liters (11.1 CU FT). The maxium weight of the car is 3870 kg (8532 lbs), and with the base weight of 2858 kg (6301 lbs), you can max load 1012 kg (2231 lbs), including driver and passengers. Some options can increase the base weight and reduce the maximum loading weight.

You can order the car with a towbar. The maximum total weight on a braked trailer is 5000, and on unbraked, it is 750 kg (11023/1653 lbs).
