The battery has a gross capacity of 111.0 kWh and a net usable capacity of 105.2 kWh, with a 5.8 kWh buffer (5.2%) for battery protection. With a nominal voltage of 369 volts, the system is classified as a 400-volt battery system.
The lithium-ion battery uses NMC (nickel manganese cobalt) chemistry.
Under the WLTP (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure) standard, the maximum rated range is 561 km (349 miles). Depending on the configuration and options such as wheel size, the rated range can be as low as 502 km (312 miles). Larger wheels generally increase energy consumption and reduce range.
WLTP energy consumption is 18.8 kWh/100 km for the base configuration and 21.0 kWh/100 km for the highest-consumption configuration.

The vehicle supports fast DC charging with a maximum power of 195 kW. A 0–100% charge takes approximately 59 minutes. A typical 10–80% session takes about 32 minutes at an average power of 138 kW.
With five minutes of overhead per stop, the optimal charging window is 3–53%. Effective average power, including overhead, is 132 kW over a session lasting about 24 minutes and 49 seconds.
In a 1000 km challenge at a constant speed of 120 km/h (75 mph) with an assumed consumption rate of 24 kWh/100 km, the trip would take about 9 hours and 21 minutes, needing three charging stops from 4% to 47%, totaling 62 minutes of charging time.
Onboard Charger
The standard onboard charger supports AC charging at up to 11 kW. A full 0–100% charge takes about 9 hours and 33 minutes with a suitable home charging setup.
Charge Port
The location of the charge port is on the right rear side. This placement makes it easy to use charging stations that require backing up to connect.

Drivetrain
The BMW iX M60 features an all-wheel drive system powered by two motors, one on each axle.

Suspension
The BMW iX M60 features a double wishbone front suspension and a multi-link rear suspension, both with electronically controlled dampers and air springs.
The suspension is fully adaptive on the front and rear axle, so height and damping can be adjusted manually and automatically.

Steering

The BMW iX M60 lets the user select different drive modes that affect the car's handling.
The driver can choose between 3 modes:
- Personal: Custom ride height, steering, suspension damping, and throttle.
- Sport: Dynamic steering, low ride height, and dynamic throttle and suspension damping.
- Efficient: Balanced steering, low ride height, balanced suspension damping, and efficiency-oriented throttle response.
Brakes
The BMW iX M60 is equipped with cast-iron disc brakes on both the front and rear.
The front discs measure 348 mm, while the rear discs are 345 mm.
Regenerative Braking
The regenerative braking system in this model offers several modes. The most efficient option is the Automatic Regeneration Mode, where the vehicle coasts when possible and employs regenerative braking to reduce speed as needed.
Manual regeneration is another mode, where regenerative braking is controlled by pressing the brake pedal. The brake system blends in physical brakes only when necessary.
Another option is the Regen on Accelerator Pedal mode where regenerative braking is activated when the driver eases off the accelerator pedal. This system allows the vehicle to slow down and recover energy without the driver needing to press the brake pedal, a feature often referred to as one-pedal driving.
Drivers can also adjust the regenerative braking strength when lifting off the accelerator, choosing between three levels.
The maximum regenerative braking power is 190 kW.

As an option, you can order this model with a large panoramic roof extending from the front to the rear. This glass creates a more spacious and bright interior. The glass has an electrochromic function that lets you blend the glass to protect against the sun.

Lights
You can choose between two types of headlights for the BMW iX M60.
- Standard Headlights: These use LED technology.
- The standard headlights use LED Matrix technology. LED Matrix splits the headlight beam into dozens of small rays that the controller can turn on and off individually to selectively dim areas ahead. Corner lights illuminate the side when turning.

The BMW iX M60 offers standard and optional advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
Safety Systems
Anti-lock Braking System (ABS): Standard on the BMW iX M60. It prevents the wheels from locking during braking.
Electronic Stability Control (ESC): Standard on the BMW iX M60. It improves stability during sudden maneuvers and on slippery roads.
Lane-Keeping Assist (LKA): Standard on the BMW iX M60. It applies steering corrections if the vehicle begins to leave its lane.
The Lane Departure Warning alerts the driver if the vehicle begins to leave its lane.
Front Cross Traffic Assist (FCTA): Standard on the BMW iX M60. It detects traffic crossing ahead when entering an intersection or pulling away from a stop.

Safety

- Keyless Entry and Start: With the standard keyless start and optional keyless entry, you can unlock and start the vehicle seamlessly without removing the key from your pocket or bag.
- Phone-as-Key Functionality: Use your smartphone as a digital key to unlock and start the vehicle.

Cargo Capacity and Towing Ability
The trunk offers a cargo capacity of 500 liters (17.7 cu ft). With the rear seat folded down, this expands to 1750 liters (61.8 cu ft).
The maximum roof load is 75 kg (165.3 lb).
Optional roof rails are available for easy mounting of a roof box or rack.
The maximum permitted vehicle weight is 3135 kg (6911 lbs), and the base curb weight is 2510 kg (5534 lbs). This leaves a payload of 625 kg (1378 lbs), including occupants. Options can increase curb weight and reduce payload.
A towbar can be added to the vehicle. The maximum permissible weight for a braked trailer is 2500 kg (5512 lbs), while for an unbraked trailer, it is 750 kg (1653 lbs).
