La potencia suministrada por el cargador es la potencia que entrega la estación de carga. La energía recibida por la batería es la que realmente llega: alrededor de un 5 % se pierde en forma de calor y durante la conversión, y los tiempos de carga se calculan a partir de esta cantidad de energía reducida. Por tanto, dividir la energía por el tiempo da un valor aproximadamente un 5 % inferior al de la columna de potencia suministrada por el cargador.
