One-Touch Window Operation
One-touch window operation, also called express operation, lets a brief press or pull command the window to continue moving after the switch is released.
What the term covers
That differs from ordinary hold-to-run power operation, where releasing the switch stops the pane. One-touch may be provided for lowering, raising, or both directions, and it may apply to only one window or to several. The label does not by itself promise remote closing, global opening, app control, or the same behavior on every window.
Automatic upward travel also brings safety and position-control requirements. The controller may need a learned window position and obstruction-detection logic, but one-touch control and anti-pinch protection are distinct functions. Vehicle documentation may require reinitialization after low-voltage power is lost or window hardware is serviced. Exact procedures and permitted closing modes are vehicle- and market-specific; US FMVSS No. 118, for example, sets operating and automatic-reversal conditions for covered power-window, partition, and roof-panel systems.
