Founded by former Tesla vice president of engineering Peter Rawlinson, Lucid brings deep EV expertise to the luxury market. The Lucid Air lineup spans multiple variants from the entry-level Air Pure to the ultra-high-performance Air Sapphire, which produces over 1,200 horsepower and is one of the fastest production sedans ever made. The company's substantial backing from Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund provides financial runway, and Lucid is planning a second manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia to support international expansion.
