Jetta began as a Volkswagen model name and became a standalone brand in 2019, run by FAW-Volkswagen for the Chinese market.

The M6, unveiled in April 2026 and launched on 22 October 2026, is Jetta's first battery-electric car: a front-wheel-drive sedan on the brand's own Jiesi architecture, offered with 42.9 kWh and 51.9 kWh LFP batteries.
