Auto Hold
Auto hold keeps a stopped vehicle stationary after the driver releases the brake pedal, then releases the hold when the vehicle is asked to move.
How it differs from related functions
The system may maintain hydraulic brake pressure or use an electromechanical parking-brake actuator, depending on the vehicle and stop duration. It is not the same as the parking brake, and its availability or release logic may depend on doors, seat belts, drive selection, and gradients.
Auto hold also differs from creep mode: creep requests low-speed motion, while auto hold prevents it until release conditions are met. One-pedal driving may include a stop-and-hold function without using the vehicle's separate auto-hold setting. braking systems
