Wheelbase
Wheelbase is the longitudinal distance between the centres of a vehicle's front and rear axles. On vehicles with more than two axles, the applicable measurement needs a more specific definition.
What wheelbase can indicate
A long wheelbase can give designers more room between the axles for occupants and an EV battery. It can also support short front and rear overhangs. These are packaging opportunities, not guarantees: floor height, seat placement, crash structures, suspension, and body design still determine the usable cabin.
Wheelbase also influences proportions and vehicle dynamics, but it does not by itself predict ride comfort, stability, or turning circle. Steering angle, track width, tyre size, suspension geometry, and rear-wheel steering can be equally important.
