Seat, seat anchorage, and seat-back strength describe parts of the load path. The seat supports the occupant, the anchorage connects it to the vehicle, and the seat back plus its locking system must resist loads.
Separate approvals
UN R17 addresses seats, their anchorages, and head restraints; UN R14 covers belt anchorages, while R145 covers ISOFIX anchorages. A feature list does not establish structural performance. See Child Restraints and Seat Safety.
