EVKX.net API
Learn about the EVKX.net API, currently in internal use with limited partner access and a roadmap for broader availability.
Last modified: Dec 29, 2025EVKX.net API Overview
The EVKX.net API is a structured interface that powers internal tools and partner integrations built around our advanced EV data model. It provides machine-readable access to technical specifications, variant details, charging curves, market availability, and more.
While originally developed for internal use, interest from external partners has led us to gradually expand access in a controlled and secure way.
Our goal is to finalize version 0.9 of the EV data model during the first half of 2026. Until then, access to the API will remain limited to avoid locking the model structure prematurely for backward compatibility.
Current Access Model
- The API is currently not publicly available
- Selected partners have access to limited parts of the API for powering integrations, search tools, or EV-related services
- All access is read-only and rate-limited
- Authentication is required using an API key for all partner integrations
If you are interested in collaborating or have a relevant use case, contact us at api@evkx.net
API Structure
The API exposes the same structured data used across EVKX.net
- Full details are available in the Swagger documentation
- All responses are returned in JSON format
- You can find a ready-to-use Bruno project in our API GitHub repository: EVKX API GitHub
Future Plans
We are actively exploring ways to offer broader access to the API in the future
- A sandbox mode may be introduced, offering a reduced dataset for developers, researchers, and educators to test and experiment
- We are evaluating licensing options, open data policies, and partner tiers to enable responsible scaling
- If broader access is approved, full developer documentation and onboarding materials will be published on this page
Why We Built It
EVKX.net was launched to deliver expert insights and rich structured content directly on the website, not as a standalone data provider.
However, the level of detail and structure we have built has led to increasing interest from third parties. These include media outlets, dealers, researchers, and EV platforms seeking trusted, machine-readable EV data.
We are listening, and we are working toward making the EVKX.net platform more accessible to those who can benefit from it.
If you want early access or are interested in a partnership, contact us at feedback@evkx.net to discuss your needs.
