Performance
The Maserati GranCabrio Folgore delivers a maximum power of 410 kW (557 hp / 550 bhp) and a total torque of 820 Nm (605 lb-ft). It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in 4.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 290 km/h (180 mph).
Battery, Range, and Charging
The battery has a gross capacity of 92.5 kWh and a net usable capacity of 83.0 kWh, with a 9.5 kWh buffer (10.3%) for battery protection. The battery operates at a nominal voltage of 800 V, supporting high-power DC charging.
The lithium-ion battery uses NMC (nickel manganese cobalt) chemistry.
Under the WLTP (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure) standard, the maximum rated range is 501 km (311 miles). Depending on the configuration and options such as wheel size, the rated range can be as low as 426 km (265 miles). Larger wheels generally increase energy consumption and reduce range.
WLTP energy consumption is 16.6 kWh/100 km for the base configuration and 19.5 kWh/100 km for the highest-consumption configuration.
For more details about the range, see real-world data and range listings on this model’s range and consumption page.
The vehicle supports fast DC charging with a maximum power of 270 kW. A 0–100% charge takes approximately 111 minutes. A typical 10–80% session takes about 30 minutes at an average power of 116 kW.
With five minutes of overhead per stop, the optimal charging window is 2–62%. Effective average power, including overhead, is 107 kW over a session lasting about 28 minutes and 52 seconds.
In a 1000 km challenge at a constant speed of 120 km/h (75 mph) with an assumed consumption rate of 29 kWh/100 km, the trip would take about 10 hours and 17 minutes, needing four charging stops from 2% to 65%, totaling 117 minutes of charging time.
Onboard Charger
The standard onboard charger supports AC charging at up to 22 kW. A full 0–100% charge takes about 3 hours and 46 minutes with a suitable home charging setup.
Charge Port
The charge port is on the left rear side. This position suits charging bays where the vehicle reverses toward the charging point.
Connector types vary by market: this model uses CCS Combo 1 in North America and CCS Combo 2 in Europe. For complete specifications for all markets, refer to the full specifications.
Drivetrain
The Maserati GranCabrio Folgore has an all-wheel drive system supported by three motors. One on front axle, and two on rear axle.
Suspension
The Maserati GranCabrio Folgore features a double wishbone front suspension and a multi-link rear suspension, both with electronically controlled dampers and air springs.
The suspension is fully adaptive on the front and rear axle, so height and damping can be adjusted manually and automatically.
The minimum ground clearance is 145 mm, and the maximum is 205 mm.
The Active Suspension keeps the car's body nearly horizontal during braking, steering, and acceleration.
Normally, cars lean outward in corners. However, the active cornering dynamics can counteract this roll, or even overcompensate, making the car lean into bends like a motorcycle.
Steering
Progressive steering is standard on the Maserati GranCabrio Folgore. It adjusts the steering ratio according to vehicle speed.
Drive Modes
The Maserati GranCabrio Folgore lets the user select different drive modes that affect the car's handling.
The driver can choose between 4 modes:
- GT: Balanced steering, normal ride height, balanced throttle, and comfort-oriented suspension damping.
- Max Range: Balanced steering, low ride height, balanced suspension damping, and efficiency-oriented throttle response.
- Sport: Dynamic steering, low ride height, and dynamic throttle and suspension damping.
- Corsa: Dynamic steering, low ride height, and dynamic throttle and suspension damping.
Brakes
The Maserati GranCabrio Folgore is equipped with cast-iron disc brakes on both the front and rear.
The front discs measure 350 mm, while the rear discs are 350 mm.
Regenerative Braking
Automatic regeneration is not available in this model. However, regenerative braking is available through one-pedal driving combined with blended brakes.
However, it is not considered full one-pedal driving since, at low speeds, the vehicle will keep rolling until it comes to a stop by itself.Drivers can also adjust the regenerative braking strength when lifting off the accelerator, choosing between two levels.
The maximum regenerative braking power is 220 kW.
Exterior
The Maserati GranCabrio Folgore is available in 8 paint colors, including both solid and metallic options.
The Maserati GranCabrio Folgore offers multiple wheel options in different sizes. The available tire and wheel combinations include:
- 255/50 tires on 19" rims
- 255/45 tires on 20" rims front and 295/40 tires on 20" rims rear
- 255/40 tires on 21" rims front and 295/35 tires on 21" rims rear
Narrower wheels reduce energy consumption and can increase range, while wider wheels can improve traction and handling.
The car has four regular doors and a liftgate.
Soft close is standard on the side doors.
You can choose an option to have the liftgate electrically powered. You can also have the liftgate with a kick sensor, making it possible to open it by just kicking the foot under the tailgate.
There are two different roof options to select from.
A conventional roof is standard.
An optional panoramic glass roof covers most of the roof area and has an opening front section, making the cabin feel brighter and more spacious. An electric sunshade helps protect occupants from direct sunlight.
Privacy glass from the B-pillar rearward is optional. It reduces glare and solar heat.
